This Job Description & Work Week Schedule is exhaustive in length, but should give you ideas on creating a description that has measurable performance items. The Works Week Schedule helps manage the ‘doing’ of the description.
This Youthworker Job Description is designed to be very descriptive in order to be a measurable entity. You can account for every action in here as something you can do except for some of the specific “build relationship” type descriptions.
This isn’t meant to be an “in the can” description that you can take for your own, but it is rather exhaustive in mixing up ministry planning, administration, care, mentoring, teaching, church politics, finances, and more.
You will need to adapt this to reflect your own context, but hopefully that will entail more deleting than adding to.
The “Week at a Glance” is to help give you a working outline of what a work week can look for a youthworker that mixes up the key administrative tasks, but front ends those to enable you to have ample opportunity for relational ministry. The Youth Ministries Team overview is part of every page in the blueprint series
