RHYTHM: Lectionary for Youth Ministry is Youthworker Circuit’s most recent effort to engage youth – and youthworkers – in the ongoing life of the church. The rhythm found within the lectionary permeates the church community and offers a rich, deep dive into the seasons of the church year. Members, if you’re showing a friend, here’s a link:

For the uninitiated, the Revised Common Lectionary is a 3 year cycle of suggested texts for preaching, teaching, and study in the life of the church. Each Sunday has four suggested texts. Each year of the lectionary takes its gospel texts from one of the synoptic gospels – Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Vanderbilt Library has made the lectionary available online, and those are the daily readings that we will follow with our devotions. Your church doesn’t need to follow the lectionary for your youth to benefit from RHYTHM! If your church has some other planning method, this still works as a standalone program for your youth group.
RHYTHM: Lectionary for Youth Ministry provides a weekly small group program session based on the readings for Sunday.
If you’re not a Youthworker Circuit member already, we’d also obviously love it if you’d join our community! For $10 a month, you’ll receive receive 4-5 weekly program sessions per month. Plus access to our entire download library, which is growing all the time! Many youth curricula cost upward of $10 per session. If you’re ready to join, welcome aboard!
